POLYVINYL ALCOHOL FIBER (PVA)

POLYVINYL ALCOHOL FIBER (PVA)

2026-03-17

Product Introduction

Polyvinyl alcohol fiber is an ideal environmentally friendly cement reinforcing material successfully developed by our company recently. Due to its unique molecular structure, it has good affinity with cement and excellent alkali resistance and weather resistance. Effectively prevent and suppress the formation and development of cracks, enhance the flexural strength, impact strength and crack resistance of concrete, and improve the impermeability, impact resistance and seismic resistance of concrete. It can be widely used for the reinforcement of walls, roofs, floors in industrial and civil buildings, as well as for roads, Bridges, tunnels and slopes.

At present, in the field of cement concrete engineering, due to the unique properties of PVA fibers, they have broad development prospects in engineering and construction applications and are an ideal new type of product that can completely replace asbestos.

Technical Data

Common specification:

fiber diameter 15um±3
breaking strength ≥1200MPa
elastic modulus ≥35GPa
Elongation at break 6-11%
Heat resistance water temperature ≥98℃
dry heat softening point ≥216℃
Length 6mm (can also be produced according to customer requirements)

Performance advantage

1. High strength and low elongation: Superior mechanical properties.

2. Acidity and alkalinity: The strength loss is low under long-term acidic or alkaline conditions

3. Corrosion resistance: The fibers will not mold, rot or be eaten by insects when buried underground for a long time.

4. Dispersibility: The fibers do not stick together, have good dispersibility when exposed to water, and have a relatively good affinity with cement

Function

1. Anti-cracking and anti-seepage: The fibers are randomly distributed in the concrete (mortar), effectively preventing the occurrence and development of cracking and enhancing the waterproof and anti-seepage capacity. The usage of PVA fibers and PA (nylon) fibers

2. Impact resistance and earthquake resistance: Effectively absorb impact energy and enhance earthquake resistance capacity.

3. Enhance the frost resistance and fatigue resistance of concrete.

4. Enhance toughness: Improve the brittleness of concrete and increase its impact resistance and bending resistance.

Application

1. Large-volume concrete pouring and guardrails, DAMS, parking lots, etc.

2. It is used to manufacture concrete components, panels, lightweight wall panels, etc., to replace asbestos and produce asbestos cement products

3. Shotcrete for tunnels, mines, culverts, etc

4. Produce lightweight wall panels, GRC boards, insulation boards and other building materials

Usage method

1. The original concrete mix ratio remains unchanged. According to the designed addition amount and the volume of concrete mixed each time, accurately weigh the fibers.

2. After the sand and gravel materials are prepared, add the fibers. Then, put the aggregates along with the fibers into the mixer and add water for stirring.

3. After the mixing is completed, take random samples. If the fibers have been evenly dispersed into single filaments, the concrete can be put into use. If there are still bundles of fibers, increase the mixing time by 30 to 60 seconds and it can be used.

4. The construction and curing process of concrete with added fibers is exactly the same as that of ordinary concrete.

5. Product dosage: Generally speaking, for plain slurry or mortar, as well as fiber-reinforced cement slabs and corrugated tiles, the dosage range is 0.6 -1kg/m³, with a common dosage of 0.6kg/m³. The range of concrete

dosage is 0.6-1.9kg/m³, and the common dosage is 0.9kq/ m³
